Certified Actuarial Analyst

The Certified Actuarial Analyst (CAA) is an international professional qualification offered by CAA Global to qualify those who excel in technical and analytical skills as trained analysts, giving financial institutions qualified professionals to fill key roles. The CAA qualification is for those who are currently in actuarial support roles or are interested in such roles (employed or fresh out of school), and in developing analytical and other useful financial business skills that can be used in a diverse range of industries.

CAA Global is a joint venture of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA), formed to offer the CAA qualification around the world. CAA Global educates sharp minds to meet the growing need for professional analysts, particularly in financial services.

The CAA qualifies analysts to prepare and analyze data. The CAA establishes analysts as qualified professionals in the financial services industry, and it enhances the understanding of actuarial work. The CAA qualification's education applies across a wide variety of financial organizations. The education is broad in nature, leading to enhanced career options in roles such as data analytics, technical analyst, data processing, financial IT, and even general management.

Actuarial analysts support the work of actuaries. Focusing on measurement and management of risk, actuaries have a deep understanding of mathematics, statistics and business management. By progressing through an intense training and examination process, actuaries earn professional credentials and career opportunities. Actuaries work in the insurance industry, including life, health and property-casualty (general insurance). Actuaries also work with banking, investments, government, energy, e-commerce, marketing, employee benefits, product development, enterprise risk management, predictive analytics, and consulting.
